Spring in Noordhoek
Now that Winter has come to a close we can start emerging from our hibernation to enjoy the warmer days.
There is a host of activities to do in Noordhoek and surrounds this spring.
Are you wild about whales? Here in South Africa we are privileged to witness the converging of 2 great oceans, bringing with it the gentle giants of the ocean: whales. Along with Hermanus, the Cape Peninsula is one of the best places for dolphin and whale watching, often being referred to as the ‘discerning whale watchers holiday destination’. Come and experience the grace of the Southern Right whales, Brydes whales, and Humpback whales, all of who have been sighted every year.
Looking for some weekend fun for the whole family?
Take advantage of the warmth and get down to the beach! There are horse rides daily which go out along the Noordhoek beachfront and wetlands. See the whales and dolphins swimming metres from the Kakapo wreck. Rides go out every morning and every afternoon. Head to our website for more information.
Paddle through the warm waters of False Bay on a 2 hour kayak trip leaving from Simon’s Town Waterfront. The terrific adventure gets you to see the Penguins at Boulders beach from a unique angle. No experience is necessary! All trips are led by knowledgeable and experienced professional guides. http://noordhoektourism.co.za/kayak-cape-town
Take a stroll! Also known as Long Beach, Noordhoek Beach is one of the stretches on the multi-day Hoerikwaggo Trail and you can walk all the way to the next village of Kommetjie. There's more than enough space for everyone – surfers, beach walkers, dogs, horse riders, kite surfers and anyone up for a good session of sun tanning and chilling.
